Using healthdirect Video Call in General Practice
Video Call provides patients with easy access to video consultations with your GPs and other health professionals

healthdirect Video Call is a safe and secure, web-based telehealth platform designed specifically for virtual clinical care. It replicates the workflow of an in-person consultation, providing a simple, convenient, and high-quality experience for both patients and clinicians.
Your GP clinic has access to a free, fully customisable virtual clinic, tailored to your health service. Video Call is custom-built to mimic the physical workflow of a clinical consultation and offers a simple, convenient, high-quality virtual experience for patients and clinicians. Your clinic's name, branding and the way you operate do not change, you are simply adding a video option to the consultations you already offer. Doctors and other healthcare providers are easily added as team members, enabling them to start conducting video consultations straight away.
Each clinic has a waiting area with a single, permanent Video Call URL (clinic link for patients) that can either be copied or sent directly from the platform. This link is all your patients need to access your virtual waiting area, making it easy to integrate into your practice management system (PMS). You can add it to appointment confirmations and reminders, and it will work for every patient. There’s nothing for your patients to download and they don't need an account.
