Digital stethoscopes

Share high definition audio from a medical audio device into you call.

We are currently working on integrating digital stethoscopes with Video Call. More information will be coming soon. The initial digital stethoscopes being tested for integration are:

  • Thinklabs
  • Riester digital stethoscopes

Using a digital stethoscope in a Video Call involves a couple of quick Settings changes once it is plugged in and ready:

  1. Switch your microphone to the stethoscope by opening the Settings drawer during a call and selecting the stethoscope from your available microphone options.
  2.  Also in Settings, go to Select audio quality and click on Medical audio. This setting will send higher quality audio in the call, which will sound clearer when using medical devices such as digital stethoscopes.
  3.  Once you are finished the examination with the Stethoscope, switch your microphone back to your preferred microphone for your voice and select Default for the audio quality. This will allow for optimal audio during the call.
This image shows the Thinklabs digital stethoscope, currently being integrated with Video Call for real-time remote patient monitoring.
