Take and share a photo on a mobile device_NSW

Quick Reference Guide - how to take a photo on your mobile device and share it into the call

During a Video Call on your mobile device, click on the + sign at the top right of the call screen, to access Apps & Tools and share a resource into the call.

You will see various options for sharing resources in the call. Click on Share an Image or PDF.

3. To take a photo and share it into the call, choose Take Photo.

(Photo library will allow you to share any photo in your saved photos. Or you can navigate to and choose a File, if required.)

Your back camera will open in the call and you can take the required photo, using the round camera button. You also have the option to switch to the front camera, depending on the photo you want to take. The switch camera button is highlighted.

The selected photo will share into the call. To make the resource easy to view it will show full screen and you can toggle between the resource and the main call screen view showing the participants, using the two arrows at the bottom right of this image.

You can use annotation tools in the resource toolbar (highlighted in the right image) to annotate over the shared resource, if required. For example, to highlight an area of an image.

Use the download button

in the resource toolbar to download a resource shared with you before the call ends, if required. Resources with annotations can be downloaded as the original file or with annotations.

Please note: Once the call ends shared resources will no longer be available to download, as Video Call does not store these.
