In-call chat function
Type in text and add links in the chat window
Click on the chat icon to send messages within a Video Call. All participants can see and type chat messages and there is an option to download the messages as a text file for your records.
Please note, you cannot paste images or QR codes into the chat. You can paste text and links.
To send a chat message:
Click on the chat icon in the bottom right of your call screen to open the chat drawer.

Hosts have the option to control chat permissions for participants during a call, accessed via the permission drop-down at top right. They can leave the chat available to everyone (the default), restrict it to hosts only, or turn it off for the call entirely. Chat permission controls are available in both the Call Manager and the Chat drawer, for hosts only.

If Hosts only is selected, guests with see a message they have read access only and cannot send any messages in the chat.

To use the chat, type or paste a message and press Enter to send the message. Please note, weblinks pasted into the chat are clickable by all participants in the call. You can't paste images or QR codes into the chat.

Hosts can download the chat. Click on Download chat at the bottom of the drawer before the call ends. You will see a confirmation screen. Click download again to save the chat as a text file which can be added to the patient's record, if desired.
